Description
Mage Knight: Apocalypse is an action role-playing game based on the world of the WizKids' tabletop game
Mage Knight. Players take on a role of one of the five warriors who have been called by the Solonavi spirit masters to root out all evil in a magical world known as simply The Land. The five heroes eventually join forces, but the player can only actively control the character chosen in the beginning. The gameplay is heavily action-oriented, similarly to
Dungeon Siege games. Multiplayer is included along with the single-player campaign.
The playing style varies depending on the character chosen by the player. The game's protagonists are: Janos Freeborn, a dwarf gunner, a former slave of the Atlantean magestone mines who fights with melee weapons, firearms, and explosives; Kithana is a vampiress from the destroyed House of Uhlrik, who also specializes in necromancy and assassination; Chela is an amazon huntress whose fighting style is modeled after animals: melee-oriented bear, eagle-style ranged attacks, and counter-based, evasive jaguar; Sarus is a draconum mage with a bad childhood, able to cast earth, fire and wind spells; finally, Tal Windstrider is an elven paladin and a rounded-up character; proficient in melee, ranged attacks and healing.
