DescriptionMahJongg Master 4 Building on Mahjongg Master 3 this game includes Solitaire the basic tile matching game, Mahjongg Rivers, Mahjongg Memory referred to in the documentation as '2 Tile Match', Mahjongg Clicks, and Mahjongg Sliders which were introduced in previous titles in the series.
This game extends the title by presenting the the Solitaire game in both one and two player modes, it can be played online or offline and in both cases there are two modes of play, in the first each player plays for thirty seconds making as many moves as possible, in the second players remove one pair before control of the board switches to their opponent. As the game manual says "Needless to say, it's not a very practical way to play in offline mode. Unfortunately, it was the only mode available in MahJongg Master before the online mode was added."
The Solitaire game can be played using either a random or a specific deal, this game can also be played in horizontal or vertical modes. Horizontal is the standard way of playing mahjongg while in the vertical game the player must free the tiles on the top or bottom sides, instead of left or right.
Other game features include choices of borders, backgrounds including the option to use your own, tile sets, playing in full screen or a window, an optional 'Hall of Fame' and 'Manga Girls' who comment on progress.
All the games can be played in 2D or 3D modes, have optional lighting effects such as coloured lighting which highlights different layers, movable camera angles, and optional animations. There are over one hundred and thirty tlie layouts and two hundred and fifty tilesets. The game plays in multiple languages and includes music, sound effects, a layout editor and a function which allows the player to create their own tile set.
