Nová akce, dobrodružství, rozhovory a několik dalších střípků do příběhové skládačky vám vystačí na cca dva a půl hodiny a královsky vás zabaví.
While BioWare has delivered great Mass Effect 3 DLC in the past, Leviathan falters a bit with a lack of motivation, and subsequently homogenized combat. It does however impress by adding new elements to the storyverse that didn’t previously exist. You’re going to feel creeped out, pick up some cool weapons and mods before you reach the stunning conclusion . It doesn’t reach the near perfect balance between character-driven story and tense gameplay that past pieces of DLC have, but it does tell a story that changes the Mass Effect universe forever.
Without wishing to give too much away, there’s an interestingly Lovecraftian vibe to the whole adventure, successfully building on established lore to provide some answers to questions still left hanging even after the main resolution. The final sections are gratifyingly grandiose, although I should mention that certain lines of dialogue seem quite muffled and difficult to pick out here, mainly due to the character in question speaking like he’s buried under four thousand mattresses. Whether you’re interested in this DLC will largely come down to how keen you are on the series’ mythology. There’s nothing here that casual fans will feel they have to see, but for those still looking for deeper insight into this world, or simply looking for more Mass Effect, this is another few hours of solid entertainment.

It's virgin territory for the series, a completely uncharted environment at the bottom of some long-forgotten corner of the galaxy, and provides a much needed change - of pace, of scenery, of story. And this is where the saga ends. It would be unfair to reveal more, but questions will be answered. The Leviathan itself weaves into existing fiction effortlessly. So, is it worth the full ticket price? Not exactly. Two hours of content is a hard sell. The three new environments maintain Mass Effect's peerless visual standards, but the lack of new enemies, attractions or recruitable squad-mates, and the fact you already know the wider ending, makes Leviathan a mystery best left uncovered.
Leviathan's core problem though is that it's a DLC created to answer questions that nobody was asking, after an ending that itself answered too many, which you know from the start isn't actually going to mean much in the great sweep of things. If you can ignore that though, or simply don't care, it's fun addition to Mass Effect 3 and a great reason to be excited about whatever new adventure comes next.
