This game was available last year in Australia along with many other Microsoft games repackaged by Ubi Soft for about $29.95-it was packaged in a box, and the cd is in a DVD case, while the manual is on the cd-in .pdf format.

FS98 was the first version of FS to include 3D video hardware support, via DirectX.

Some releases of FS98 included a second CD, "World Of Flight" (originally released by Microsoft in 1995), which contains educational information on planes and aviation.
