This selection only came in at an 80, Pele would certainly be disappointed. It leaves you with a sense of incompleteness from the lack of real players to the inability to record a season. The game does not keep track of any individual or team statistics so you are left to your own devices. The tournament is limited in number...maybe they couldn't get enough fields? Gameplay is good and definitely will challenge you, but without the ability to do more than play single games or a tournament that ends with no championship celebration, what is there really to play for? You can lose your interest, I'm sorry to say. .

Mit Euro96 und FIFA 96 befinden sich bereits Fußballsimulationen auf dem Markt, die sich in punco Spielbarkeit und grafischer Aufbereitung nichts schenken. Microsoft versucht mit Unterstützung sämtlicher Grafikbeschleuniger, Soundkarten und Eingabegeräte und problemlosen Multiplayerspiel mitzumischen. Wie unter Windows 95 üblich, geht diese Bequemlichkeit zu Lasten der Geschwindigkeit, und so macht MS Fußball einen außerordentlich zähen Eindruck.

Erst das tollte NBA Full Court Press, dann das: So wird Microsoft die Herzen europäischer Sportfans garantiert nicht erobern. Die Menüs lieblos, die Grafik simpel und die Spielbarkeit aus den späten achtziger Jahren - kaum zu glauben, daß man sich mit diesem Produkt auf den Markt traut.

Add in the hideous graphics, dreadful animation, unrealistic ball movement, atrocious sound effects, bland crowd all wearing grey, the invisible glass barrier that surrounds the pitch, the fact that the game claims a "Violation: tripping" when you foul someone (what?), and that the game fades in and out when the ball goes out of play, and I'm sure you'll agree with the score.
