Summary
Not Happy With This Game!
The Good
I like the trying to solve the case. I only use cheats when I hit a brick wall and usually they are wrong anyways. I love whodunits, you feel like you can solve anything.
The Bad
I played the game in both Junior and Senior Detective levels, and I ended up at exactly the same part. I get to where I need to take elevator to basement and after 8 pm the elevator DOES NOT work. I've checked the time twice to make sure it wasn't 8 am. I then checked the power, to make sure that was working. As I walked along the elevator it made the noises. I found the venting shaft but the elevator wouldn't work. I went to a few sites to get directions and most of them wouldn't work either. I can't imagine how anyone would be able to solve anything on these games! I guess I'll go back to my cyptoquips, they are easier to solve than this game.
The Bottom Line
You are Nancy Drew and you are trying to solve a mystery. A little knowledge of history is given to you and you get to wander around an old hotel. Help out with a few little jobs because of the snowstorm, and then you "can enjoy your holiday." Meet characters Dexter Egan, Jacques the skiier (runs ski shop), Professor Hotchkiss (eccentric but nice older lady), and Lucy (a photojournalist.) You wander through the library, tower, and solve smaller puzzles.
