Computer Gaming World review

Computer Gaming World originally reviewed the game in Issue #234 (January 2003), but retracted the review one issue later. An excerpt from their statement:

(...) the first review we had to retract in the magazine's 22-year history. Due to an oversight beyond our control the review of Electronic Arts' NASCAR Thunder 2005 included a number of inaccuracies. It is our policy at Computer Gaming World only to review final PC code, and only to provide star rating after the reviewer has finished the game. This was not the case with this review. (...) Computer Gaming World is proud of its long publishing history, and we take our responsibilities as journalists and editors very seriously. We sincerely apologize for this oversight.

In issue #236 the game was reviewed again, this time by another reviewer and on one site instead of a half, but received the same rating.
