DescriptionThe game is set on a futuristic world where stadium sports are ruled by car-combat. Sort of like the Running Man on wheels if you will. You play one of the contestants and the game itself consists of 30+ matches of a weird sport in which you have to drive a heavily armored car around arenas blasting opponents, retrieving a flag from (usually) locked areas and then returning the flag to your starting position.
You can control your car both in 1st person or 3rd person view, and you can also get out of your car and go on foot to access otherwise unreachable areas tough you become obviously vulnerable to other contestants, and speaking of opponents, you'll fight against foot soldiers, flying soldiers and eight different types of vehicular enemies.
Multiplayer options include both competitive and cooperative gameplay, where one player drives around, and the other acts as gunman, with directplay support in addition to the standard modem/ipx support.

TriviaThe development on Necrodome initially started as a sequel to CyClones. Later on into the development, the developers designed to ditch the idea and opted for a completely new game.
