Next Life

After a very disappointing Nibiru and formulaic Black Mirror I was very apprehensive about buying Next Life, but I did so nevertheless, partly because of the very interesting premise. I'm playing it right now, but I'm wondering if anybody has already tried it. The reviews are quite diverse, with the usual high score for the high-profile adventures from Just Adventure to very low scores from the mainstream sites, like GameSpot or IGN.

What do you think of it?

It looks good, though, reading about it, I keep thinking "Riverworld" :) I have a lot of respect for the Four Fat Chicks reviewers - they review primarily adventures but they can still be dispassionate about a given game. They gave this one what they call "Middlin'".
