The credits mention a hint book published by Urban Leopard. This is just a little inside joke as Urban Leopard is a fictional character from the game, an underground journalist who publishes an anti-establishment newspaper.
The game was originally programmed as a BASIC text adventure called The Fantastic Adventures of Hurford Schlitzting, but never finished. Later, it was redesigned using PACkAGE (Point And ClicK Adventure Game Editor) for a final year computing project, but none of the available engines seemed appropriate, so Tim Furnish developed his own: SLUDGE (Scripting Language for Unhindered Development of a Gaming Environment).
The game won various awards:
- Best Graphics and Best Game (Adventure Gamers Underground Awards 2003)
- Best Game (The Crow's Nest Awards 2003)
