The story:
The Magical Power Pellet which keeps PAC-MAN's planet alive has been smashed and scattered across time by his archenemies, the Ghosts.
PAC-MAN's quest is to retrieve the pieces from the different eras from ancient Egypt to the Wild West of the 1800s and return them to the planet core before it cools. But watch out! There is almost always a ghost hot on PAC-MAN's tail!

PAC-MAN: ADVENTURES IN TIME Creates New 3-D Adventures for Arcade Favorite
BEVERLY, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 23, 2000--Pac-Man, the power-pellet eating, ghost-chomping, pop-culture icon of the 1980s is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of his arcade debut by returning for an all-new, 3-D adventure in Hasbro Interactive's PAC-MAN: ADVENTURES IN TIME, developed exclusively for the PC.
Go for a wild adventure with Pac-Man in and out of different time periods to retrieve his planet's magical power pellet, which was stolen by his archenemies - the ghosts. In order to save his planet, Pac-Man must use time portals from Professor Pac-Man's laboratory to travel back in time, retrieve the four scattered pieces of the power pellet and return them to his planet's core before it cools.
As Pac-Man travels from ancient Egypt to the Wild West of the 1800s, lurking behind every corner are the ghosts ready to strike. Pac-Man can protect himself against these nasty spirits by gobbling up power pellets.
PAC-MAN: ADVENTURES IN TIME will lead Pac-Man across five real-time 3D worlds including over 45 colorful mazes. Start with flat mazes and then tackle slopes, seesaws and new spherical, cylindrical and cubic mazes.. Face additional puzzles and challenges by playing the many fun new Pac-Man mini-games, including: Cannibal Dash, Railcart Rush and Asteroid Antics!
As always, PAC-MAN: ADVENTURES IN TIME will feature Hasbro Interactive's unique intuitive game play and well structured learning curve that makes it easy for anyone to pick up a controller and play.
