Description

In the game you play an attractive female mercenary who knows little about her own past. You've been hired to discover the secrets surrounding Corporation Alcyon's Pax Corpus Project, and eliminate any threat it poses to the free world.

The gameplay of Pax Corpus revolves around shooting, weapon upgrades, and level progression through the acquisition of keycards. Rave-style music accompanies the player throughout the futuristic world of violence.

Pax Corpus Windows Not a good screenshot because half the main character is missing. On the floor is a guard who's just been shot. The floating orb means there's an item to be scavenged, in this case an access card

Trivia

A little known fact is that Pax Corpus was originally based on the cult animated series Aeon Flux and was supposed to be released as such.

The reasons for the license withdrawal have never been fully disclosed and the game was shortly advertised as "the" Aeon Flux game (with even some video previews in the later episodes of the series). But apparently somewhere along the road problems originated between Sony and series creator Peter Chung, whom due to censorship issues apparently withdrew the license from developer Cryo and left them with an almost complete game that couldn't be released due to legal issues. Cutting their losses, Cryo fixed what they could of the story, made a few changes here and there and voila! Pax Corpus!

While the game lacks the original animation that was originally going to be included by Mr. Chung, has all character names changed, and modifies some of the graphic details and settings, anyone familiar with the series will recognize the distinct character design and premises from the series, and while unofficially so.
