Portugal 1111 is an real-time strategy game with heavy influences from Age of Empires. The player can take control of either the Christian Crusaders or the Moorish Invaders as both vie for permanence in the Iberian Peninsula.

The game has only one resource - gold - which is acquired by selling wheat, or turning it into flour.

Portugal 1111 Windows Clicking on a peasant shows the build menu (left corner). Highlighted is the farm, source of wheat (used as money in the game).
Portugal 1111 Windows With the farm producing wheat the peasants will automatically harvest it. In the right, more peasants build a house (increasing the upper limit of player units).
Portugal 1111 Windows Attacking the Moor's fortress. The storm symbol is people loosing their faith... yes, the player is loosing that battle...
Portugal 1111 Windows The first map (single map mode) starts with a castle, four peasants and four warriors. In this map we must clear the land of enemies.
