Description
President Forever is a strategy game that puts you right in the presidential campaign. You will have to manage ads, visit states, research new insights into important American issues, give impressive speech, setup your platform, participate in television debate, use your influence to determine what's in the news and even try to unleash a scandal that lower your opponent's appeal.
The game comes bundled with 4 scenarios. The Elections in:
2004 (Bush - Kerry)
1992 (Bush - Clinton)
1980 (Reagan - Carter)
1960 (Nixon - Kennedy)
but you can also download dozens of fan-made scenarios (fantasy or historical) on the game's website.
It's also possible to create a candidate from scratch (you don't have to use the scenario default).

Trivia
In a Gamespy article published Oct. 25, 2004 (a week before the actual elections), the developer of "President Forever" had the following statement : "The official prediction from us since the beginning of 2004 has been that Bush would win with 280+ electoral votes."
Bush actually won with 286 electoral votes.
