This game options screen is displayed prior to the game loading then the game's copy protection system verifies the CD.
This is the second, and most colourful, of the game's two title screens with it's legal bit saying that this is really only a game.
In-game configuration options. After making a change to the resolution the game must be restarted before it takes effect.
The EDIT icon on the top right of the menu screen takes the manager to the player selection screen. The flags optionally filter by country and the drop down menu selects by club
The start of a friendly match begins with team selection. The manager gets to pick both their own and the computer's teams.
The second stage in a friendly match is the selection of the venue and weather conditions. In this match Japan's Fishermen will play Canada's Calgary in South Africa.
The Japanese Fishermen team statistics. Here the manager can select their team and decide whether to watch a 2D or a 3D match.
The game is about to start. The numbered green bars along the top show the health of each player. They decrease and change colour during the game
The pane below the pitch displays significant incidents. Team emblems are displayed at either side to show who has possession.
The substitution screen. Players are substituted by dragging them from the substitute list to the play list
The players take to the field in another Fishermen vs Calgary match but this time in 3D, at night, in South Africa in the snow.
This is the default 3D view. The manager can alter the camera position by moving the mouse to the sides of the screen.
When an incident like a scrum, a line out etc takes place the camera automatically zooms in close to the action. The manager has the same tactical options as in the 2D match.
A conversion is about to be taken. The manager can zoom in on the action like this at any time by using the mouse scroll wheel.
The CTRL key brings up this sub menu which gives access to player substitutions. This is a different to the 2D game
Starting a new career as a manager. The player has two choices on this screen, to enter a name or take the default and to choose their nationality.
The next decision a manager makes is to choose their club. The drop down menu on the left shows the different leagues. Once selected all the clubs in that league are displayed.
The managerial screen at the start of the season. At least the chairman's expectations are reasonable. The house icon in the top left gives access to Finances, Scouts and Club Facilities.

Selecting the team icon, the players shirt, on the top left of the screen displays this tabbed list of statistics.
There's also access to the fixtures of all other leagues. The musical note in the bottom right of the screen controls the games built in MP3 player.
The three icons in the top right advance time by one day, one week, or as in this case up to the next fixture
