One of the things that always makes me think of summer are roller coasters. Theme parks with coasters have been a part of the warm weather and good times many of us remember since at least the 1950s, roller coasters themselves go back even further. The pure excitement and fun of these rides and theme parks bring out the kid in many of us, who can remember hot days and thrill to the adventure of great roller coasters. Another part of many of us is the desire to build and run things, which of course, many of us can never do, as we lack the money, or the opportunity to do so. So instead, we turn our attentions to the computer, where we can find simulations of all kinds of things, from real life events to, you guessed it, roller coasters. A few years ago, Chris Sawyer and Infrogames brought the world of theme parks to life with the smash hit Roller Coaster Tycoon 2. Now, Chris Sawyer and Atari bring you an expansion pack for that game, Time Twister.
Tja, was soll man dazu noch sagen?

Spielerische Innovationen: Fehlanzeige.
I'm a sad panda today. It's not that I hate writing, or that I hate my job, it's just not fun to write about boring expansion packs that add little substance to a stagnating series of games. Sadly enough, that's exactly what we have in the second expansion to Roller Coaster Tycoon 2. It adds plenty of content as far as objects go, but adds little to nothing to improve upon any of the game. The 20 dollar price tag makes that a bit easier to swallow, but only the crazy park creators are really going to dig what's inside this box.
Following on from Wacky Worlds which arrived about a year ago, Time Twister is the second add-on pack for Chris Sawyer’s RollerCoaster Tycoon 2. In that time, Chris Sawyer has conjured up fourteen new scenarios, a handful of new objects to add to your park, but unfortunately very little else.
Chris Sawyer's RollerCoaster Tycoon phenomenon is stuck at the top of the Ferris wheel. RollerCoaster Tycoon 2 was a disappointing repeat of the first game, last spring's Wacky Worlds expansion was lambasted by critics and fans for offering just a few new themes and scenarios, and the latest add-on is equally uninspired. Time Twister is modeled on the same formula as its predecessor and is just as disappointing.
