All in all, Halls of Valhalla is a must-have for Rune fans, Vikings, berserkers, Mongol warlords and those with an unhealthy cutlery fixation. Added modes and features and improved control revitalizes an already solid game. So jump into your longboat and head to your local retailer. Fred needs victims.

Some Rune fans might be a bit disappointed by the lack of single player modes in the expansion pack, but if you're just looking for more ways to kill your friends you won't be let down. Rune: Halls of Valhalla is also a nice entree into the world of multiplayer Rune for those players not interested in going it alone. Overall the Halls of Valhalla is worth the money if you're into the game and definitely worth a try if you want to check out a form of multiplayer mayhem that doesn't involve running and gunning. There's nothing like cleaving a few arms and heads to take the edge off a stressful day.

Taktik
ist nicht angesagt, schnelle

Spiel. Mangels Computergegner

Sie nur im Netzwerk oder Internet

das
Hauptprogramm.

The game doesn’t expand on the single player product, merely the multiplayer aspects. While that may be fine for some, for those fans of the game who enjoyed the original product, there is no reason to purchase this one. However, if you are new to the game, buy Halls of Valhalla – the expanded multiplayer options will make the overall experience more enjoyable.

With all the ranged weapon multiplayers out there in Cyberland, it's refreshing to jump into the muck and go eyeball-to-eyeball with a horned maniac who's wielding a four-foot razor blade. The fundamental elements for a revitalized online combat experience are all present in both games; let's hope these and other developers have the foresight and creative genius to realize its future potential.

Rune started with a weak multiplayer mode, but I didn't care much about that since the single player game was so much fun. Halls of Valhalla polishes the multiplayer code somewhat, but doesn't make it really worthwhile. If you enjoyed the multiplayer aspects of Rune, then this is for you. If not, then this isn't going to change your opinion. More single player missions would have been much more welcome. Bottom Line: No new single player maps, weapons, or Rune powers. This expansion adds 30+ multiplayer maps, new skins, and two new modes of play. If you were unimpressed by Rune's weak multiplayer support, this package won't change your mind.
