Trivia
At the event "GameStar/GamePro Leserpreis 2005" (February 2004) Sacred received the trophy "Best PC RPG in 2004" after the reader's voting of German gaming magazine GameStar.
The Dwarf dungeon world in Sacred were created using the renderings of The Light Works. They provided in-game graphics for this level and the water elements.

To elaborate on the Pacman dungeon: you can find it to the west of the Faeries Crossing. Just travel straight through the woods. Inside you will find a maze filled with yellow balls. These can be collected to gain extra experience, but watch out for the blue ghosts, as an encounter will drain some HP.

At least two characters were voiced by the german voice actors of famous movie stars:
The gladiator character was voiced by Manfred Lehmann, the voice of Bruce Willis (complete with "Yippie-ka-yay pigface!" from Die Hard II, in german language of course)
The dark elf character was voiced by the person who usually voices Nicholas Cage.

There are many easter eggs in Sacred:
- sun glasses
- a bunny costume (which is applied to cheaters only)
- a light saber like in Star Wars
- the ice hockey mask and machete from the Friday 13th movies
- a dungeon which is made up like a pac-man game
- a village which is a exact copy of Tristram from Diablo 1
- game boxes as quest items (all from other Ascaron games)
- tons of very funny tombstone inscriptions

Multi player via internet was not included in the original release, but was patched with the first update on the day of the release. The packaging still states that it's possible to play via internet with the original version.
