Just Adventure (Dec 10, 2008)
Overall, this is a pleasant and mostly simple game that is nevertheless entertaining and clever. The hunt-and-find part does get repetitive, as it is wont to do, but the mini-games and the storyline keep things interesting. I had fun playing this game, and would like to see what else MumboJumbo games can come up with, including any further adventures of our beloved heroine.

With so many potboiler hidden object games flooding the market recently, it's great to see a title that's as inspired and fresh as Samantha Swift and the Hidden Roses of Athena.

Roses of Athena is just one of the many quality choices available to fans of hidden object adventure games. It's also one of the games they shouldn't miss.
CNET (Jun 26, 2011)
The game itself is fun, if not particularly remarkable. Samantha Swift is an archeologist in search of valuable artifacts. Players move from room to room through ancient ruins, only advancing after finding all of the items on Samantha's list. Some are hidden in plain sight, while others require a careful eye or even tools to be uncovered. In-game instructions and hints make it easy to play, even for beginners, and the graphics and music are both professional-quality.
