Fuminori Sakisaka has a traffic accident which kills his parents and leaves him heavily injured. After an experimental treatment to save his life, he awakens in his hospital bed to find his perception of the world has changed: everything he sees becomes blood and guts, people are horrible creatures, everyday noises sound warped and horrific, and there is a constant and disgusting smell.

Whilst contemplating suicide in the middle of the night, a beautiful girl walks up to him, seemingly out of nowhere, and looking completely out of place against the walls of flesh and roaming monsters. She explains that she is looking for her father, a doctor at the hospital. Fuminori, amazed, begs to see her again and soon she becomes the only thing keeping him sane.

Saya No Uta is a short visual novel with very few interactive elements. The text is displayed over the whole window on top of the graphics.

Saya No Uta Windows ...And this is what Fuminori sees. His life is no picnic.
Saya No Uta Windows He doesn't seem to be sleeping. Probably needs a glass of warm milk or something.
Saya No Uta Windows Yeah, it goes there. It goes further too. Use your discretion.
Saya No Uta Windows Gotta wonder how much work was put into those eyes. They carry enough potential drama to power a story half as good as this one.
