For a franchise that started its life as an underachieving Halo clone, Section 8 has grown into a quality and sturdy first person shooter. Prejudice takes the formula set up by the first game and tweaks it in all the right spots, and the result is one of the most rewarding online shooters of the year. Even better? It's only $15. Got your fill of Call of Duty and the other big first person shooters? Check out Section 8: Prejudice, it just may surprise you - it did me.

Gameplay (Benelux) (May 27, 2011)

If this were a contest to see what budget game could look the most like a full-priced title, then Section 8: Prejudice would be an impressive release. Prejudice certainly does a lot – it just doesn’t do very much well. With a few friends, the Horde-alike Swarm mode could justify Section 8: Prejudice as a purchase during the slow time of the year if you’ve exhausted your other, numerous options. Regardless of its status as a downloadable title, Section 8: Prejudice doesn’t do enough well to make it a must-play. In the morass of other, better shooters (especially on PC), it feels destined to burn up in the atmosphere, rather than establish itself with a community.
