Calypso updates his journal. In it, he talks about the prophecy of Nostramadus that should be happening now and its misinterpretations. After that, Simon drops from above and lands on the table. Calypso knows about Melissa aka Runt. He discusses with Simon the prophecy and the fact that Sordid is trying to open the doorway to the nexus, a control center for the Universe. What Sordid needs the Swampling for, Calypso does not know. What he does know is that Sordid needs the magical boots to control the nexus. Calypso shows Simon what the magical boots. It is in the form of a CD. Calypso wants Simon to get the "Seedy" from the Dragon's horde. The dragon is Sordinell, the same one that the dwarf prince talked about. Calypso wants Simon to enlist the help of the dwarves and to go to the forest.
Go down to the bar and talk to the barman. He just heard the ninja a few minutes ago upstairs in the corridor. Once the conversation is over, pick up the empty pint glass. Go to the Games Room and approach the pool table. Look at it to discover something jammed in the coin slot. Use the tong on the pool table and Simon will retrieve a gold coin. Use the pool table again and use 1 groat. Great, the groat didn't go through. Look at the pool again and Simon will discover a rat in there that bit him. You need to scare the rat out of there, and you have something that will scare it. Use the cat and the cat will jump into the pool table and have a fight with the rat. Too bad that the cat stays put.
Go to the Beer Garden and talk to Wig Trader, who wants a wig or wig equivalent to trade for what she is wearing. Find out about God, Harry Wigsner, and the wigologists. Look above the picnic table and notice that the glass roof to Calypso's Private room is gone after Simon fell through it. Return to the bar and ask the barman about the pool table. It doesn't work because the white ball and cue are stolen. There are only two balls in there anyhow and won't be fixed until the repairman comes.
Leave the Inn and go to the church. Walk through to the bell tower and climb the rope to the top again. Go through the open window and talk to Goldilocks. She tells Simon that she is stealing lead off the roof, and wants him to take it out of here and to stash the two tons of loot before anybody notices. Once he has done that, she wants Simon to meet her in the pub later. Go back all the way to the forest, either by walking there or using the rainbird.
Use the phone booth to travel to the Nearly Secret Area. Go straight to the cave only to discover that it has been sealed off and the dwarf is no longer there. Go to Dungnomin' Tree and notice a lot of missing person posters around. Return to the Sleeping Foliage. Using the plant book, identify it as Dopius Calandra, a plant that induces deep sleep for several hours. Pick some up.
Take the phone booth to the Reservoir Control Hut and go down the hill where the ninja got crushed. Look at the valuable item wedged tight under the tree. The woodworm will help you get it if you give them weapons to form the insurrection.
Return to the large hole where the treasure hunter is and talk to him. He wants to catch a mole that is trained to find gold. They also bring sustenance to him. The mole can be trained to find anything by rubbing the thing he wants to find on them. Look around and notice a lot of mole holes. Wait for a mole to pop up. When one is in the eye window, use the gold coin on hand. Now use the mole on Feeble File CD labeled ashtray in inventory to receive a mole trained to sniff CD's.
Go to the Clan BattleBeard Camp (which used to be called Volcano Photopoint). Simon watches as a dwarf climb onto the catapult after drinking spirit and yelling. The dwarf then gets catapulted and eaten by Sodinell, the dragon he was told about earlier. Walk up to the brewing area and talk to the dwarf there. He explains to you that Clan BattleBeard is called by the Prince of Dwarves to kill Sodinell, and the spirit that they drink before being catapulted is BeserkerBrau, a dwarf spirit that eats through metal. Ask about the keys to the building. The dwarf tells Simon that Axegrinder just went up and he usually has them. Ask if you can have some spirit, but the dwarf declines. Use Dopius Calandra plant on the dwarf spirit to add extra flavoring. Now watch as a dwarf comes out of the tent, drink brew, get catapulted, and eaten. Only this time, Sodinell collapses onto the ground after eating the dwarf that drank the sleeping foliage plant. Once the sequence is over, use pint glass on the brew pot. Simon will get the pint glass full of highly acidic Dwarf Spirits.
Leave the camp and walk to where Sodinell is laying. Look at Sodinell, then use the metal detector. Simon will hear something metallic in the dragon's stomach.
Go outside the camp into the waterfalls area. Look at the sleeping dragon. Use the metal detector on dragon and hears metal in stomach. Stand on the nearby rainbird landing pad and call the rainbird. Have it drop you inside the volcano.
Look around. Before you is a pile of treasure, and coins drop from a spout on the side of the volcano. Use the trained mole on the treasure. The mole will go rummaging around the treasure, and it reappears with a locked chest. Look at the chest. It has a padlock with no keyhole on it. Use the dwarf spirit on the padlock and Simon will get a thick glass case with CD inside. Look at gong and use Hammor on it. When the gong breaks, use the bell on the gong stand. Use Hammor on bell and the sound breaks the glass case. Pick up the CD then ride the rainbird and take it back to the Inn in Poliganis.
Talk to Calypso. He says that Simon must defeat Sordid with the help of various people he mentions. Most of them you already met previously. They will help him save the world if an invitation is given to them.
Ask about the King of East. Like what happened to you, the ninja, Jar Nin, must have his body and soul rejoined at the Temple. To collect his soul in the bottle, the bottle must have something of value to him. If it is the correct item, the bottle will glow green. Simon explains about his stealing the bell, so Calypso has to bring Jar Nin to the temple himself. Jar Nin's nose was burned in a smoking competition. Ask about Prince Brave to learn that his transformation is a standard witch curse situation and can be reversed by being kissed by a princess. Princess Austin is now of age and a tournament for her betrothal and to find a suitor is arranged. Grandulf, the wizard is doing the opening fireworks display. He would want something in return for his aid to gain access to the princess.
