Simon has just arrived in Sordid's fortress, and already he is faced with another puzzle. A series of fireballs are coming toward him. Just before it reaches you, sprint up the ramp and quickly change the color of Simon's robe to the color of the fireball by using the spell book (ie: if the next incoming fireball is green, you should change Simon's robe to green). After the fireball hits you and is neutralized, continue sprinting up the ramp again until you reach the top of the ramp.
ALTERNATE SOLUTION: In some instances, evading the fireball by dodging out of its path or by crouching seems to do the trick.
Climb the ladder that you see here, and Simon will enter Runt's laboratory. Before he knows it, Simon gets glued to the floor while Runt explains their diabolical plans. Runt and Sordid both found the whereabouts of the nexus where Sordid prepares for the invasion. Runt will join him after he makes some adjustments to the matrix. The Magical Boot are not needed. Melissa and Coneman are inside the prison, which is controlled by two buttons in front of Simon - one controls the force field, the other changes them into something small.
In inventory, combine the peashooter with the magnifying lens. After Simon tells you what to do, zoom and look straight at the two buttons on the console. Target and shoot at the right release button. Once Melissa and Coneman get free, Coneman falls asleep. Use the voodoo doll with pins to wake him up. Once Coneman does so, he charges at Runt but is changed into a duck. Calypso arrives and kills himself with his light saber.
Runt is out to get Simon with his light saber. When he first attacks him, Runt said that his magic is absorbed by his robe. When you are attacked by Runt's light saber, change the color of Simon's robe so that it matches the color of the saber blast shot. After this, run to a similar colored button on the wall. When Simon is hit by the colored blast, press the button to transfer Runt's magic to the buttons. The button will glow. Repeat this procedure until all buttons are glowing, Runt's magic is gone and there will be power build up.
Runt falls into the bottomless pit. As Coneman the duck flies over the pit, he changes back into a human and falls into the pit. Melissa wakes up and, along with Simon, she enters the Nexus gate, opened by the power build up.
In the nexus, a giant Swampy lies above an entryway. Calypso's ghost appears using power from beyond, and states that the head is a representation of the builders of the nexus. Walk toward Swampy's head, and Look at it. Simon recommends that you sing the Swampling Song. If you do this, Swampy's eyes will light up and an entryway is revealed.
You will come across a magic red bridge, which has a little house in the middle. Try to cross it. A swampling guard will come out of the house and stop Simon. The swampling tells him that bridge can only be crossed from the other side. No running or jogging is allowed on the bridge, even loitering. The guard has to execute Simon for crossing the bridge the wrong way. He looks like Swampy, sounds like Swampy, but isn't Swampy.
Walk across the bridge by pressing and holding the [Shift] key to move forward. When you see the guard coming out of his house to check on the bridge, immediately do a 360-degree U-turn, and when he goes back in, turn around again and continue on. Repeat this until Simon is on the other side of the bridge and he sees a starry universe.
WARNING: If Simon is caught running or jogging, or walking the wrong way, the guard will execute him and you will have to start over again. The guard will also execute Simon if he is found loitering.
That starry universe means that Simon has arrived at the Nexus Computer Room. Walk on through to the room, then walk to the right side. Sordid is found lying on a bed. Go to the left side and notice that Swampy is also lying on a bed. Unlike Sordid, though, he is breathing but still out of it. There is a computer in the middle of the room. Look at it and Calypso's ghost will appear to explain that both Swampy and Sordid's soul have been separated. Sordid's soul entered the Nexus computer and took Swampy's with him. Calypso's ghost then goes on to talk about the Ancients, explaining that Swampy is slang for the Ancients. He then talks about the Nexus computer, which controls the universe and uf the power supply is pulled out, it will be the end of everything.
Simon's mission is explained. He has to stop Sordid's vile plan by entering the nexus computer. To do this, his soul needs to be separated from his body. Calypso performed Simon's separation of soul and body. If something happened to either the soul or body, the joining back will have a slim chance of happening. Enter the computer.
Simon is now inside the computer and he needs to reach Sordid and Swampy. Have Simon turn around and face the three transporters. Walk into the one on the right and Simon will arrive in a passage with some multi-colored wires running down on the left side. Walk up the passage to the blue ramp, then walk down the other strip. Turn right at lighted arched passage. Walk down the dimly lit green passage. Now go out the door to bright green passage beside the big multicolored wires on the left. Turn right at the crossroad. Turn right again and notice a door that says “1995 U.K.” written above it. Enter this door to arrive in a room with three transporters. Go through the right one to meet Swampy and Sordid.
Swampy is glad to see Simon and he asks for his help. Sordid discusses his plan to rule the universe by using Swampy to change the automatic control of the Nexus to manual. The Nexus was created by Swampy's ancestors 100,000 generations, and Swampy is the last in the long line and can run the machine. Swampy presses a button and removes the automatic control. He pulls a lever to change it to manual. Unfortunately by doing this, he orders a memory erase, deleting the Nexus from existence. Sordid escapes.
Simon has two minutes to get Swampy out and escape or escape by yourself. Swampy urges Simon to go and leave him as Swampy's leg is tied to a ball and chain. You can use the vacuum cleaner on Swampy to release him but there would not be enough time to get back out. Enter the portal by yourself or with Swampy and go through the maze again. What's different about the maze this time is the lights flickering on and off. Sordid flies to get outside the computer before you He knows the path well so you can follow him if you are lost. You have to beat Sordid to the computer room and leave him trapped in the Nexus.
To get back to the control room, turn right and walk forward. Turn left and walk forward to middle ramp. Turn Left on middle ramp and walk forward. 4. Walk through the enclosed passage going up with three ramps. Walk onto the arched ramp. Turn left to go to the blue pad. Walk down the other ramp. Enter and stand on the single transporter pad in a room with FBI OMNI on the wall. Leave the room and climb red edge strip to red pillar with C1557 on it. Walk around to the right and climb up the strip. Walk the enclosed passage with four ramps. Climb another ramp. Go left to transporter room with three pads. Finally, take the middle transporter to return to the control room.
NOTE: Before you continue the game, make sure that the Simon the Sorcerer 3D CD-ROM in the drive, and that Auto Notification is enabled. Otherwise, the following puzzle won't work.
Your body and Swampy's are still in their beds but Sordid's is gone, and the computer is going berserk. There is no keyboard to gain control of it, and there is no eject button on the CD drive. Only one thing to do: eject your own CD drive. You will get an eject auto notification. Click OK. (If the game frame disappears, just click it back up from the toolbar at the bottom of the desktop) The CD drive of the Nexus computer in the game opens and Simon inserts the CD to get the Nexus computer working. Now sit back and enjoy the ending.
