The Good
Simon the Sorcerer II picks up a few years after the end of the first game. Simon, now a teenager, is once again zapped into the strange fantasy realm in order to do battle with an evil wizard. It features improved graphics and sound, along with more of the point n' click, adventure game play and British comedy that we came to love from the first Simon adventure.
The Bad
Some of the game's jokes may not work well on an American audience. It is sometimes hard to believe that this is the same world that Simon explored in the first game and some of the comedy came off as a bit too politically incorrect/offensive; i.e. the African musician or the gay interior designer.
The Bottom Line
Simon the Sorcerer II offers more of the same with improved graphics and sound. The game is longer and more challenging then the first game, but not unfairly so. The British comedy is, for the most part, funny except for a few situations that came off as being more petty and malicious then funny.
