Sinbad: Legend ofthe Seven Seas is a great game for the 6- to 12-year-old on your shopping list, but it older gamers should pass on it. For $19.99, you can't go wrong with Sinbad as a kid-friendly holiday gift.

The very low difficulty makes me conclude that Sinbad is addressed only to the very youngest of children. Moreover, the game’s replayability is equal to zero, even if after completing the single-player, the Score Attack mode is unlocked, in which you replay all the chapters and receive points for every enemy that you killed. Is it worth 19.99$? Only if you are a fan of the genre and enjoyed the movie.

Overall, Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas amounts to a typical movie-licensed game. The presentation is pretty good, and the gameplay is somewhat more interesting than you might expect. Its primary failings are a ridiculously brief campaign (even for a value-priced title) and an ESRB rating that will keep the game out of the reach of those who'd probably like it the most.

IGN (Jan 23, 2004)
Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas is an action oriented adventure game in which players become the scoundrel Sinbad and take on the goddesses and the dangers of the sea. Atari published this title which was developed by Small Rockets and licensed by DreamWorks. Cartoon like graphics and easy levels will definitely appeal to the younger generation, but it falls short of entertaining to adults.
