Star Wars: TIE Fighter

TIE Fighter från LucasArts har redan fått en hedersplats i min spelhylla. Det är det bästa rymdstridssimulator som går att få tag på i nuläget, med massor av ohejdad action.

Tie Fighter on välitön hitti ja kauden merkittävimpiä pelijulkaisuja. Voi niitä raukkoja, jotka eivät ole kokeneet taistelun hurmaa Imperiumin puolella.

This is one of the most absorbing and satisfying PC games ever designed. There are no add-on disks available--yet. If I were stuck on a desert island (with electricity and a PC) and could only have one game to play, I'd choose TIE Fighter.

TIE Fighter is one of the only games in existence that has absolutely nothing wrong with it. Besides the occasional extremely-minor glitch, the game is flawless, a hallmark of many mid-90s Lucasarts games. If the kind folks at Lucasarts ever make another TIE Fighter involving Lawrence Holland, I will buy it without question (though I probably should have thought better of buying Secret Weapons Over Normandy just because Holland was involved).

With such a rich selection of ships and missions, chock-full of scorching action, TIE Fighter is an easy game to get hooked on. It can get pretty tough in some of those later missions, but don't worry—you can handle it. After all, you're working for the Dark Side.

LucasArts hat sich erfreulicherweise nicht auf den "X-Wing"-Lorbeeren ausgeruht, sondern die Schwachpunkte des Vorgängers verbessert. Tie Fighter ist für Einsteiger leichter zu spielen, die Grafik ist detaillierter, der Sound gewohnt bombastisch und Profis können sich gleich mit sechs neuen Raumschiffen anfreunden.

Edel sei der Mensch, hilfreich und gut - von wegen! Wer schon immer mal davon geträumt hat, an der Seite Darth Vaders den Quälgeistern von der Rebellenfront kräftig einzuheizen, ist beim X-Wing-Nachfolger TIE-Fighter bestens aufgehoben.
