Description
Stealth Bastard is a stealth based platform game. The objective for each of the game's 28 levels is simple: get to the end without being seen. To do so the player has sneak around in the shadows to avoid being seen by the enemy robots and cameras. A visibility display shows how visible the player is. If the status is fully visible then the player will be instantly killed by enemy lasers if he moves within their viewpoint. Combat is not an option so to survive it's essential to remain unseen. Getting through the levels involve both agility and puzzle solving. The player has to execute his moves quickly (often by some precise platform jumping) to get past the enemies before they turn around and at the same time activating switches to open doors and hacking terminals to unlock the exits. The game's puzzle solving also involve manipulating the robots and have them open doors.
The game is timed and features online leaderboards that allows the player to compare his times with those of others. Levels are divided into four chapters and each level needs to be unlocked by completing the previous one. It's possible to skip levels but not endlessly. For each level completed the player earns one skip. The player can create his own levels through an in-game editor. These can then be uploaded to other players who can download them directly through the game.
