Game industry News (GiN)
The best part about the game is that you can get an incredibly fun title for the money you find inside your couch, well, my couch anyway since the weekly RPG group seems to all have holes in their pockets. SAIS is being published by famous cheapo board game publisher Cheapass Games, and can be had for just 15 dollars from cheapass.com. It runs on any PC above a Pentium II, basically we could not find a system old enough not to be able to run it, so it's great for a travel game on a notebook too.

Digital Eels, all three of them, have done themselves proud with this tight, enjoyable and entertaining little game. If you don't come looking round their website for a MOO or Alpha Centauri clone but rather are happy with quick and cheerful game like we used to have, then you can do much worse than supporting the smaller developer out there, striking a blow against the corporate assimilation of our leisure time and getting yourself a copy of Strange Adventures in Infinite Space (cue Scooby-swirl-o-vision and Flash Gordon music).

Strange Adventures in Infinite Space definitely has some high points, such as the different map every game and the low price. Nobody will be wowed by the graphics or the sound, and although the maps are random, you end up playing the same basic game every time. Is Strange Adventures in Infinite Space worth your while? Possibly, but since the price is so low, I'd check out the demo and give it a try. Strange Adventures in Infinite Space ends up being a quite average space exploration and adventure game, but it's low price may warrant some more investigation than the ratings indicate.
