Trivia

In the German gaming magazine GameStar (issue 02/2001) Sudden Strike was named as "Best Strategy Game in 2000".

CDV Software Entertainment, Sudden Strike's publisher, was surprised when sales of the game hit the roof.

It sold more than 600,000 copies and achieved the No. 1 ranking in the German GfK charts as well as No. 1 in France and No. 4 in England. The game was also honored with the Platinum Award by the VUD.
