This is the game's main menu. It's displayed immediately after a screen full of licensing information. This is from a single race demo so some items are greyed out

On the grid at the start. All lights are green, ready to start.

Be warned - the AI opponents are quick off the mark so if, like this player, your fingers aren't on the keys ready for the start you'll be left standing

Some of the crashes are really spectacular. It's disappointing to come off but watching the bike cartwheel into the distance is some consolation

The scenery looks really good. Only when I played slowly, or when it's caught in a screenshot like this, did I realise how blocky it got close up. Take the overhanging tree for example.

Top left shows race position (last). Bottom left shows speed, going slowly just to get a good screen shot - honest. Bottom right is the state of the bike. Top right is either lap times or animation

In the top centre of the screen the player gets advance information about the up coming corner

The game allows the race to be recorded and played back

Most menu screens have a pair of crossed tools in the lower right corner. This gives access to the game controls
