My wife has yelled at me for not mowing the lawn and I think my cat died from starvation, so yes, I definitely recommend going out and adding this game to your racing collection. On that note I give EA Sports' Superbike World Championship an 89 out of 100, so dust off that joystick and I'll see you on the track.

So it's not hard to tell that I had a lot of fun with Superbike World Championship. Not only does this game simulate the action of superbike racing, but it captures the spirit as well. It's got something for true simulation fans and for those of you just looking for a quick arcade dash. It's definitely the best superbike racer out on the market today, and you won't be disappointed if you pick up this one.

Despite the minor graphical glitch, however, Superbike is one impressive game. It may not be the most realistic racing game ever created, but it certainly raises the bar for PC motorcycle racers.

Der Actionpart wirkt mir zu aufgesetzt. Die Bikes lassen sich mit einem Gamepad mehr schlecht als recht steuern; die originalgetreuen Strecken taugen für todesverachtende Vollgas-Fahrer nicht. Für den Simulations-Modus kann ich mich eher begeistern. Das liegt vor allem am glaubwürdigen, herausfordernden Fahrverhalten. So merke ich sofort, wenn mir das Hinterrad wegrutscht und kann rechtzeitig korrigieren. Außerhalb der Rennbahn hätte Milestone aber noch mehr machen müssen. Vor allem Tuning und Telemetrie sind nur wenig ausgefeilt. Dank der Fahrhilfen kann ich den Schwierigkeitsgrad genau an mein Können anpassen. Wenn sich Milestone auf die Simulation konzentriert hätte, würde Grand Prix 500 ccm einen ernsthaften Konkurrenten bekommen.
