I am not sure where this game wanted to go. It did not seem to have a direction or strong point. It is not a great puzzle game, nor strategy game. It is loaded with video clips, which is the most I can say about it. I was really disappointed with this effort. Such a riveting series, only to be reduced to a messy, confusing game that challenges your patience more than ability or guile. This game is not worthy of its' name. The tribe has spoken, and the word is NO.

Game Vortex
What is unbearable is the game as a whole. Survivor: The Interactive Game is the lowest form of shovelware, put out on the market to satisfy a greedy public without thought of actually making the experience good. If you had the good sense to read this review before you wasted your money on the game, please buy something else. Anything else. Survivor: The Interactive Game doesn't deserve your consideration, your money, or your time. I'll never regain the time spent playing this monstrosity, but you don't have to be subjected to the same torture; you can just walk away. And that's what I recommend.

Survival Period: The survival period consists of automatically performing chores while conspiring with others in nonsensical chat loops of pre-written dialogue that completely abandon the drama and social dystopia that make the TV show so strangely appealing. Getting voted off this island makes you a winner, not a loser.

Survivor is a very poor translation of a television show to a computer game. The amazing thing is, according to the manual, there are plans for expansions. The Survivor: Africa season cast is apparently going to make its way into this Survivor game. Perhaps while they are at it, they can add an interesting and fun game as well.

Nearly every aspect of Survivor is dreadful, so let's hit the high spots first. The game installs smoothly and takes up a reasonable 330MB hard-drive space; all the real-life castaways from Survivor: Pulau Tiga and Survivor: Australia are featured; and hitting the Esc key while playing gives you the glorious opportunity to exit directly to Windows, where hopefully you'll find something to do that will assuage the futility of having spent time waiting to see if the game would ever become entertaining.

Game Revolution
Seeing as how this game is the worst thing anyone at Game Revolution has ever seen, it deserves special grading treatment. No dear reader, an 'F' is much too high for a debacle such as this. Instead, this game gets a Cursed Tiki Award and the very first Game Revolution 'F-'.
