DescriptionTalisman: Digital Edition is a conversion of Games Workshop's board game Talisman, the second made by developer Nomad Games. Whereas the previous game, Talisman: Prologue was focused on single player, this version features multiplayer for up to four players (or AI opponents) locally or online.
The objective of the game is to retrieve the Crown of Command, a powerful magical artifact that allows its bearer to become the ruler of the land of the Talisman. With it a player can cast command spells that forces other players out of the game. The artifact is located in the centre of the board but before going there players need to build up their characters so that they are powerful enough to handle the inner region. Each character has strength, craft, fate and life values as well as different special abilities.
The game is turn based and players move around the board by dice rolls. After moving they can then either encounter another character or follow the instructions, which often involves drawing an adventure card. When encountering another character the player can either attack or use a special ability. If the opposing character is killed the player can take any of its objects, followers and gold. Adventure cards involve events, encounters with enemies such as animals, dragons, monsters and spirits as well as strangers.
