This first person shooter falls flat on it's face.

Terrawars: New York Invasion encompasses some of the most overused themes in the history of video games. You'll experience alien invasion, gun fights, platform jumping, and time travel. OK, so there's no time travel actually in the game, but playing it will give you the distinct feeling that you've traveled back in time to play a mediocre Half-Life mod from 1999. The overall lack of quality is painfully evident throughout Terrawars, from the eye-gouging visuals to the rudimentary, almost primitive, design. Compared to modern PC shooters, Terrawars is outclassed in every possible way, and it certainly isn't worth even a budget price.

The only things I found appealing about this game were the upgradeable weaponry and the multiplayer feature, though I doubt that you'll be able to find anyone to play with. Save yourself the $20 this game costs because even at that price it's a rip off. Terrawars: N.Y. Invasion has earned itself the honor of receiving the lowest game review score I have ever given with a dismal 21% and I have a feeling it will keep that title for a very long time.

TerraWars is the worst game I’ve played in several years. I’m still holding out hope for a resurgence of PC shooter when Crysis and other cutting edge titles come out in early 2007. But a real turkey like TerraWars makes me want to take out a second mortgage and go buy a PS3 on eBay.

All in all, Terrawars: NY Invasion is one of the worst games I have ever played. The gameplay is a total nightmare, there’s no music, and the objectives are redundant. My advice is to totally avoid Terrawars: NY Invasion.

Terrawars: New York Invasion, the most recent offering from Tri Synergy, does a good job of redefining a first person shooter versus the aliens, in all of the worst possible ways. Marketing has done a great job of a decent website and a nifty cover, but that’s about the only nifty thing about this game. I even admit that I didn’t play to the end since at a certain point my computer started begging me to kill it, and I just couldn’t.

Terra Wars puts you in the shoes of John Armstrong, a medical student reservist in the National Guard. John is tasked with battling an alien invasion in NY after his squad gets wiped out. It's never explained why this random medical student is at the center of this disaster, and he offers no opinion as to what's going on. But before you know it you're blasting those aliens back to . . . well, wherever they came from. This game doesn't really have a story. The aliens remain a mystery on nearly all levels. It's only clear that NY has been invaded by vicious, faceless aliens, and it's your job to blow 'em to bits.

Generic and poorly executed, there is absolutely no reason for you to buy this. In fact if anyone ever gives this to you as a gift, they might hate you.
