The best game i've played on my computer. Deals with a lot of strategy such as compass heading etc. The only problem I cant play it on my laptop. My current laptop is a vista (Dell). I wont download I guess because game is old.

According to this, XPs are handling the game fine, with the compatibility mode on. I couldn't find info regarding Vista, I doubt you will.
