Description

Tomoyo After: It's a Wonderful Life is a sequel to Clannad. The events of the game take place one month after those described in the predecessor. Tomoya Okazaki, the protagonist of the previous game, has graduated from high school and lives alone, working as a garbage collector. One day he discovers that he has a half-sister, his father's illegitimate daughter. Tomoyo Sakagami, Tomoya's friend and one of the main characters in Clannad, offers to take care of the girl. The story then focuses on the personal problems and relationships of these characters.

The game is primarily a visual novel, the player's interaction mostly reduced to making occasional decisions that move the story forward. Locations and events are displayed as still images accompanied by text. In order to access all the scenarios, however, the player has to participate in a game called "Dungeons & Takafumis", which is a simple turn-based RPG in Japanese style.

Unlike Clannad, the PC version of Tomoyo After contains scenes with nudity and explicit sexual situations.

PSP and PS3 versions of the game contain certain updates such as additional scenario and CG events, and full voice-acting for the main character.
