C'est beau, drôle et intéressant. C'est un jeu tout à fait recommandable, puisqu'il faut tout vous dire.

On the surface, Torin's Passage is another medieval quest featuring crystals, a princess, and — surprise! — an evil sorceress. Inside, though, lurks the heart of a borscht-belt comic. The fast-moving animated tale boasts killer material, including a sitcom from hell complete with sanctimonious audience.

If you've got the hardware, and especially if you have children you are looking for an excellent game for, then Torin's Passage is an excellent option. It is visually impressive, has an intriguing Disney-like storyline, and most of all, it's FUN to play.

Tyvärr är Torin's Passage - liksom de flesta av Sierras spel, extremt buggigt. Det är känslosamt och på gränsen till sockersött på sina ställen, men lika ofta är det hysteriskt roligt.

Und das ist gleichzeitig der Vorwurf an dieses ansonsten außerordentlich gute Adventure: Torin's Passage ist als Spiel für die ganze Familie gedacht,doch über die famosen Pointen werden vermutlich nur Erwachsene grinsen können.

Dafür zeigt Sierra das sich auch ohne Videos oder sonstige multimediale Opulenz noch phantasievoll gestaltete Spiele mit abwechslungsreichen Rätseln produzieren lassen. Die wirklich witzigen Animationen, solide Grafik und feiner Sound lassen das grantige Grummeln alter Hardcore-Adventurer dann doch wieder verstummen. Und wenn sie tapfer alle gebotenen Hilfen abschalten, kommen auch sie halbwegs auf ihre Kosten.

Well, Sierra seem to have done it again. In Torin's Passage they have produced yet another captivating adventure that is fun for everyone to play. Whether you are 6 or 106, if you have a good store of imagination and a love of fairy tales, then you are sure to enjoy this one.

Sierra has been perfecting their brand of computer adventure games for over fifteen years, and game designer Al Lowe has been a major part of that evolution. His ribald Softporn Adventure, re-made into Leisure Suit Larry in the Land of the Lounge Lizards, was religiously played by every teenager with access to a computer. In his latest project, Torin's Passage, Lowe has cast aside the bathroom humor and created a game suitable for adventurers both young and old.

Introduced to the world of Torin's Passage by a cinematic opening sequence, filled with kidnap, regicide and treachery, I prepared myself for a game of suspense, excitement and adventure. With a traditional fairytale plot, bizarre characters and one extremely irritating companion, it was always going to be difficult for Torin's Passage to deliver.
