TA:CC includes a new hovercraft plant for each side that can easily be used to expand your reach past a single island. Most hovercraft are self-explanatory, but by far the most useful one is the Nixer, the floating V2 rocket launcher. Nixers are actually preferable to land-only versions on an all-land map because they can maneuver much more easily and get out of danger after a tactical strike.
Arm's new Pelican Kbot, due to a game bug, is nearly invincible once it transforms into a boat. Missiles and torpedoes will always miss its sea form; instead, they will simply splash harmlessly around it. Combined with the Pelican's automatic air defense and great speed, this allows the Pelican (in numbers) to stand up to anything the opponent can muster, even the mighty Warlord battleship.
Core doesn't get any of these benefits, but it really doesn't need them. After all, while your opponent is ruling the seas, you can simply be building more of Core's improved defenses and superior bombers! |
