Use wordpad or any other .txt file editor to open the default.kmp file located in your Ultima IX directory. Find the line [Cheat Commands]. Directly beneath it, type in the following:

alt+shift+i=toggle_avatar_invulnerable
alt+shift+1=toggle_avatar_fly

Then, when in game, type Alt, Shift, and i or 1 to turn on the cheats.
