Vietcong: Purple Haze is a compilation pack that bundles the original Vietcong game alongside its expansion pack Vietcong: Fist Alpha. For the PlayStation 2 and Xbox version this is the first and only release of the game; the individual game and its expansion were not available separately.

Trivia

The compilation's subtitle is most likely a reference to The Jimi Hendrix Experience song under the same name released in 1967.

In fact, all of the game's original guitar-based music is heavily influenced by Hendrix and other prominent psychedelic and rock musicians of late 60's.
