Description
Will of Steel is a top-down RTS game that has the player take control of USMC Battalion named (ironically?) William Steel as they partake in missions from the 2001 Afghanistan campaign and the 2003 Iraq invasion. The player can take command of over 100 different units such as ground troops, tanks, helicopters and even weapon systems (not including over 100 non-playable support units).
Missions of the games are varied such as attacking targets, defending locations and personnel, etc. Players can control their units by using the mouse to either attack enemy units, defend positions, patrol areas, etc. or they can use a USB headset and give orders to individual units. Not only can the player earn medals for their performance in the game, but surviving units can also receive medals and earn higher ranks.
