Действие игры происходит в конце 50-х годов прошлого столетия, в условиях альтернативной исторической реальности. СССР. Апофеозом работы группы видных советских ученых становится масштабный эксперимент по изменению человеческой физиологии и психики с целью создания сверхлюдей - настоящих строителей светлого будущего мирового коммунизма. Результат грандиозного опыта стал полной неожиданностью для всех: гигантский советский город вымер, большая часть его жителей бесследно исчезла, а те, кто выжил, превратились в неконтролируемых мутантов, ставших единственными обитателями пустынных улиц... В "You Are Empty" игроку предстоит погрузиться в уникальную атмосферу советского тоталитаризма. Сражаясь с мутировавшими и приобретшими сверхспособности бывшими гражданами Советов, главный герой игры пытается разобраться в случившимся и в меру своих сил поправить положение.

Игровой мир

События игры разворачиваются в большом советском городе, жители которого в результате неудачного научного эксперимента частью вымерли, а частью мутировали, потеряв и человеческий облик, и контроль за своими действиями. Кроме того, в городе и его окрестностях сохранились остатки автоматизированных производственных предприятий, местами продолжающих работать.

Противники

Игроку предстоит сражаться с бывшими советскими гражданами, в результате неудачного научного эксперимента мутировавшими и приобретшими сверхспособности. Яркие, самобытные персонажи являются одной из особенностей игры. Более подробно вы можете познакомиться с ними в разделе "Монстрарий".

About Game

You Are Empty offers players an alternative approach to the history of the late fifties of the XX century. Scene of action is the Soviet Union. Leading Soviet scientists start a big experiment that alter human physiology and mentality in order to create super humans capable of building bright future and communism all over the world. But something goes wrong… As a result the whole city, where that experiment took place, goes on a rampage. The majority of citizens died, and those who survived turned into hideous mutants - the only inhabitants of deserted streets. You Are Empty immerses you in an exaggerated dark and obscure atmosphere of Soviet totalitarianism. Fighting against mutants, that obtained super power after the experiment was carried out, the main hero tries to gain an understanding of what's happening around and save the day.

Game world

The game takes place in a big Soviet town with beautiful Stalin architecture and colossal monuments dedicated to the communist future. The inhabitants fell prey to a huge experiment carried out by a group of scientists. Most of the people died, but the ones that survived lost their human appearance and control of their deeds and behavior. Moreover there are a lot of plants and factories inside the town and in the outskirts. A part of them is still functioning.

Enemies

Original and vivid enemies are one of the features of the game. In You Are Empty players will face strange and weird monsters - former Soviet citizens which mutated and gained super powers after the experiment. Distinctive and vivid characters that you will remember long after are one of the game's key features. You can meet them in our Bestiary section.

Budzisz się ze śpiączki w nieznanym Ci miejscu. Potykając się w ciemnościach odkrywasz, że przebywasz w ciemnej, wilgotnej celi, a zewsząd dobiegają nieludzkie krzyki. Na szczęście w rękach ściskasz wierny karabin, więc kiedy w ciemności dostrzegasz parę oczu, nie zastanawiasz się długo. Game Overview

You awaken in a stupor, not sure where you are or how you got there. As you stumble in a dark, dank cell, you hear inhuman sound drifting through the black of the poorly lit hallway. Your grip tightens on your rifle as the fear builds until suddenly you see eyes peering through the darkness. You level your weapon, pull the trigger and a hollow click follows: You Are Empty.

In the fifties of the XX century, leading Soviet scientists start experiments that alter human physiology and mentality in order to create super humans capable of building a bright future for communism all over the world. But tampering with the universes' toolbox is not without consequence. As a result, the experiments break free of their creators and go on a rampage throughout the city. The majority of citizens died, and in an ironic twist of Darwinian natural selection, the remaining population has survived to become hideous mutants, the only inhabitants of deserted streets. You Are Empty immerses players in an exaggerated dark and obscure atmosphere of Soviet totalitarianism. Fighting against mutants created by the Soviet super human program, the players are tasked to figure out what happened in the city and stop the mutants from spreading further.
