If you're tired of flying with Maniac, you don't have to do it. Brimstone is
a non-critical system, meaning if you score well enough in the previous
system, and you're on the winning track anyway, you don't have to go
there. This only works if you beat McAuliffe and go to Gimle. If you can
beat all three Gimle missions and take out Dakhath Deathstroke (the
Kilrathi ace in the last mission), you won't have to step down to a
Scimitar or fly with Maniac. It'll be on to Dakota.
