The game is meant to help younger audiences understand what it takes to keep a village running and build civic responsibility. Players get to design how their avatar looks. The tasks players perform are dictated by the amount of energy use. Most tasks use one unit of energy. This number regenerates every 5 minutes or so. If this is too long to wait, more energy can be purchased with in game cash accumulated through various accomplishments, or with real world money. When using real world money to purchase in-game cash, these proceeds go to Digital Green for on the ground assistance to real villages in impoverished areas. In addition, energy can be completely regenerated by leveling up. Leveling up occurs when a number to goals are reached.
