Load screen
The game loads to this options screen. The choices are between a full world cup campaign, and a one or two player test match
Using the cursor keys the player moves the arrow to the country they wish to represent. This does get a bit fiddly when choosing the European teams. Here an eastern team has been highlighted
Confirmation of the team's characteristics comes up when they are chosen. If the wrong team has been chosen another can be selected.
Once a team has been confirmed the player is taken into team selection. Here it's a choice of goalkeepers. Subsequent screens select defenders, mid-fielders, and forwards
These are the teams and their groups
This is the match South Korea will play first
The game starts here. Note I am playing as South Korea. This means South Korea will lose, and will lose badly. No disrespect is meant - I'm just not good at this game.
Romania kick off and head for goal. The active S Korean player, in white and flagged by a small triangle, is way behind the ball
S Korea have a new active player but I've pressed the wrong key so he's running away from the ball. The mini map is a nice touch
The balls been hit high. The large white circle is its shadow.
The balls going to go out of play ....
... but it didn't. The ball hit some invisible boundary and stayed in play. I don't think this game caters for goal kicks and corners
The ball is about to be caught by the S Korean keeper. keepers always have their arms spread wide.
Left to its own devices the game can get stuck, so its possible the same could happen in 'normal' play. This situation persisted for around 20 minutes of game time - about 4 minutes real-time
This is what a goal looks like, it's taken from the second day of the competition
