DescriptionWorld Class Solitaire is a solitaire game. The player draws cards from the upper deck and places them in the seven columns of cards sitting in the center of the screen, with the ultimate goal of transferring them all to the four upper foundation piles. In the seven columns, the cards should be placed in descending order, alternating between black and red suits, while the foundation piles are restricted to one suit each, and the cards are laid down in the sequence A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K. More cards are drawn from the deck by clicking on it. They show up in groups of three, and only the first in the group can be picked. If the first card isn't suitable, it's possible to click the deck again and reveal the next three cards. Browsing the cards in this way is not restricted. Additionally, there are several cards sitting face down in the columns. To flip them up, it's necessary to remove the cards covering them.
Hidden among the normal cards are the bonus cards. They usually multiply the number of tokens won, but at the same time they can offer one of three basic types of power-ups: Shuffle, Peek or Grab. The Shuffle button reshuffles all the cards in the deck, Peek temporarily reveals all the face down cards, while Grab automatically moves the next card in a foundation pile even if it's still in the deck or face down in the columns.
While there is no actual story, the player travels around the world, from city to city. In order to complete a flight to the next location, a specific number of games must be won. World Class Solitaire also introduces the concept of passports, which can be completed by earning stamps when winning the required number of games. There are 25 passports to complete in total.
