www.nintendo.com – Nintendo GameCube:
Gentlemen (and women!), start your propellers!

Sporting the look of a Saturday-morning cartoon and a zany attitude to match, Midway's Freaky Flyers airmails mucho madcap racing.

    Freaky Bunch

Soar through wide-open courses, each with bizarre sub-missions that will challenge your flying and sharp-shooting skills.

The baker's dozen of prankish pilots includes Traci Torpedoes, a German-engineered aeronautic warrior; Johnny Turbine, an all-American pilot whose biceps outweigh his brain, and Marcels Moreso, Siamese twin mimes who constantly annoy each other.

Each outlandish aeronaut's story is unveiled as you progress in Adventure Racing mode. The two disks are crammed with hilarious animated sequences that link missions together and fill in the story behind each screwball sky-jockey. Melodramatic narration and smart-aleck taunts from each of the pilots spice up the nonstop nonsense.

    Game Modes

In Adventure Racing, you battle wacky rivals in a series of white-knuckle three-lap races. Each of the eight courses has items to collect and optional goals to complete. Speed-enhancing boost highways are opened when you complete course-specific missions such as reuniting a bigfoot family, starting a cattle stampede or foiling a bank robbery.

During the Adventure mode, pairs of arch-enemies square off to race, dogfight or strut their stunts.

Two-player Dogfights take place in seven arenas that are specially designed for maximum carnage. The goal is to down the most planes before time runs out. You can add computer-controlled opponents to the fun.

    Swarm and Destroy

All pilots start with a machine gun, then collect additional power-ups. Homing Missiles, Rockets, and Anti-Gravity Mines will blast enemies out of the sky. Health, Shields, and Nitro will save you from enemy attacks. Increase your power-up capacity by destroying enemies and hitting bull's-eyes.

Instead of out-gunning your foes, you can out-fly them with barrel rolls, dives and other balmy barnstorming moves.

    Graphics and Sound

The vibrant worlds teem with fully interactive features. In Coyote Canyon you will find treacherous rock-formations, Wild West towns and damsels in distress. Bigfoot Mountain is inhabited by lumberjacks, beavers and other hairy beasts.

The frame-rate is excellent. Even the distant mountains are sharp and detailed.

Freaky Flyers is a crazy voyage through the untamed skies. The hilarious animated sequences are incentive for playing through the Adventure mode again and again. Check out our screen shot gallery for some sweet looks at this racer.
