Loons: The Fight for Fame

Trotz zahlreicher Waffen und gelegentlicher Regieanweisungen ist der Spielverlauf äußerst monoton und das Gameplay extrem chaotisch. Selbst mit vier menschlichen Teilnehmern kommt in den stets ähnlich aufgebauten Szenarien kaum Spielspaß auf und alleine ist`s sowieso ziemlich witzlos. Manche Minispiele sind zwar kurzzeitig ganz amüsant, aber wirklich gelungen sind eigentlich nur die witzigen Animationen und die tadellose Lokalisierung. Doch das ist selbst für eingefleischte Looney-Tunes-Fans zu wenig, um eine Anschaffung in Erwägung zu ziehen - auch wenn die Alternativen auf der Xbox, wie Fuzion Frenzy oder Cel Damage, auch alles andere als Spielspaßgranaten sind.

Loons: Fight For Fame is a Loony Tunes game that fails to be entertaining and enjoyable, although it does have its share of amusing moments. Still, there aren’t enough of these moments to keep any gamers’ interest.

Malgré son atmosphère réussie, Loons pêche par un concept franchement limité qui ne distraira que les plus jeunes joueurs le temps de quelques parties à plusieurs. Une fois les gags spéciaux découverts, on se lasse de jouer dans des arènes trop petites où règne la confusion.

Loons features Single Player, Multiplayer Madness, and Arcade modes. The arcade mode is comprised of the seven mini-games unlocked through Single Player mode. That's the main mode and it's the only way to unlock new levels (fifteen in all) and extra goodies.

Loons: The Fight for Fame essentially falls short on all of its aspirations. The combat is overly simplistic, the cel-shaded presentation is unattractive and unrefined, and the game is brimming with collision-detection and physics bugs. On top of its technical demerits, the game fails to capture the essence of the vicious slapstick comedy that makes the Looney Tunes cast of characters so endearing.
