With a myriad of first person shooters already available for the Xbox, Robocop fails to offer gamers anything new. Hardcore Robocop fans should definitely give the game a rental, because regardless of the game's mediocrity, it still offers the experience of being Robocop. The majority of gamers will be unsatisfied by the lack of pulse pounding action and frenetic pace that is the staple of most titles in the genre.

And you thought Robocop 3 was bad? To be fair, Titus definitely made a conscious effort to incorporate every element from the Robocop universe, but no matter how authentic the material may be, it doesn’t come together to create an interesting gameplay premise. Even the most menial of things, like the menus, are unfit. It pretty much fails on every conceivable front and can’t hold a candle to 99 percent of the games currently in the Xbox library. To serve, protect, but more realistically, to suck.

Every single aspect of Robocop feels like it was thrown together at the last minute, and the end result is a game that, for all intents and purposes, is just no fun at all. Even if you're a fan of the Robocop franchise, you'd be infinitely better off just watching any of the movies (yes, even Robocop 3), rather than paying full retail price for a shoddy product like Robocop for the Xbox.

The harrowing inventory of Robocop’s blunders simply extends into the horizon – they’d fill a review three times this long. Rather than induce tears, however, it’s more pertinent to simply turn away and snub this deplorable mess. An opportunity wasted is bad enough, but the Robocop franchise, worthy as it once was, needed a solid, stylish FPS. What Titus have provided is a soulless plundering of that franchise, a game which wouldn’t even pass as an amateur Quake mod - as careless a mishap as modern gaming has ever seen.
