In summarisation , this is how an Xbox Live Arcade game should be done , plenty of options and enough to entertain . This is certainly value for money and has that "Just one more go" feel about it . It`s highly polished and a job well done by Backbone . If I have one gripe ...... the sound is a little quiet , I find myself turning it up a bit and only to be deafened by the game I play afterwards . Care and Love has gone into making this game and it shows , I`m very hard to please when it comes to games , but , I`m glad to say , I`m more than pleased with this . A welcome return to form , Now stop reading , start downloading and crack open a large can of Whupass

Out of the 48 Live Arcade titles that I digitally own, Bomberman Live tops them all. The sheer level of entertainment and the production value of Bomberman easily trumps anything on Xbox Live Arcade. The excellent single player variety and the addictive qualities of the multiplayer combine to form an enjoyable gaming experience. The game actually feels under-priced at 800 marketplace points and Live users would be wise to snatch it up immediately, as well as the recently released content packs.
Overall, though, the game isn't really harmed by a laggy connection – it is still damned fun. If you've ever played a Bomberman game on any past system (you'll be hard pressed to find a gamer that hasn't), Bomberman Live is a damned solid pickup. The various game modes, customizability of Bomberman and the ability to play both online or offline with friends makes for a package that, at the price, can't be beat.
It’s about time this series got back on track after the disastrous Act Zero. Bomberman Live punts the widely despised “mature” look of the previous 360 title, and goes back to its super-cartoony classic style. You can customize your Bomberman and take him online for some fast-paced intense multiplayer action. The gameplay is as strong as always, and it’s still one of the best multiplayer titles available. (As of this writing, there was a disconcerting amount of lag online, however.)
Bomberman Live is the most well-rounded and customizable game currently available on Xbox Live Arcade. The graphics are crisp, the animations fun and the options are many. It's so good, it even makes up for Bomberman Act Zero. Yes, it's THAT good. Easily the best action-based multiplayer game available and well worth the 800-points. Kudos, Hudson Soft.
The fun factor is what it is really about when it comes to games, and Bomberman has delivered for years and this game is no different. We get a neat little package with practically nothing to complain about except for minor issues with the map variation. It really is refreshing that a classic game could have aged this well, especially in the age of super-duper graphics, huge environments and non-linearity being en vogue. This game throws all that out the window and sticks to the basics. Heck, even the bombs go off in a linear fashion. With so much to offer and so little taken from you (money wise), this game should be in your download window as soon as your done reading.
Bomberman Live is the ultimate evolution of the franchise, taking a fantastic multiplayer game online. Sure, you can still have a blast playing this game with three other people in your living room, or even by yourself in a pinch, but when nobody is around, you can now go online and compete with total strangers and have just as much fun.
So that's Bomberman Live, then. A cheap, polished online-enabled offering that fans and newcomers should embrace heartily to their bosoms. It's exactly the sort of quality offering that Microsoft should be extracting from developers of Live Arcade titles and one that should bring a smile to the faces of any right thinking gamers. More of it, please...
At 800 points, Bomberman Live is a bit on the pricey side. Then again, Hudson tried selling Act Zero on a disc at full retail, didn't they? Price tag aside, Bomberman Live is a perfect fit for online play and one of the best multiplayer experiences available on Xbox Live Arcade. If you're looking for something fun to play with friends, you can't go wrong with this game.
If there's any umbrage to be taken with Bomberman Live, it is the lack of interesting things to do offline. The dynamism of online opponents is what keeps the game fresh and ever-changing, but if you aren't an online gamer, the simple gameplay, lack of progression, and dimwitted artificial intelligence will entertain you about as long as it takes to set off a firecracker. If you don't mean to play against other people, Bomberman Live will be a dud. But if you are competitive and love to have friends over for beer (real or root) and gaming, this ten-dollar game (800 Live points) will give you plenty of bang for your buck.
